In this seminar, Dr.Stanley Krppner will describe the “Ten Ds” of Shamanism:
Dancing, Décor, Deprivation, Dialogue, Diet,
Display, Drama, Dreaming, Drugs, & Drumming

Shamans are community-based practitioners who are able to access information in ways not available to other community members and use this information for the benefit of the community and its members.

"Shamanism," a word describing the activities of these practitioners, varies from group to group, but engages in altered consciousness. Stan will provide examples of the "Ten Ds" by describing the activities of shamans he has known.
